Transportation Coordinators
Pro transport planning that keeps your Saudi production moving.
A transport coordinator manages the cars, drivers, and movement that keep a film shoot mobile. In Saudi Arabia, this takes skill in local roads and driving. The coordinator runs fleet work across mixed terrain. They make sure cast and crew reach each set on time and safely. Sets range from Riyadh city blocks to remote Saudi countryside.
Through NeedAFixer, we connect you with Saudi transport coordinators. They know the real demands of film shoot logistics here. Our network has pros who run fleets for features, series, and ads. They cover Riyadh, Jeddah, AlUla, NEOM, and Dammam.

On Location
Saudi transport — 4x4 desert fleet, Almajdouie Logistics, Saudia/Riyadh Air air, helicopters via Falcon/Sabre
Our Saudi transport coordinators run picture-car and crew-transport fleets. They cover Riyadh, Jeddah, AlUla, Empty Quarter, Red Sea coast, and NEOM. The ground fleet leans on the Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4, the top pick in the region. Nissan Patrol is the backup. Range Rover serves talent. Mercedes Sprinter and Hyundai H-1 run as crew vans. For heavy-haul we use Almajdouie Logistics and Bahri, the national shipping line, for cold-chain, gear, and SFX rigs. Air transport runs on Saudia and Riyadh Air, the national carriers. These fly from Riyadh King Khalid International, Jeddah King Abdulaziz International, Dammam King Fahd International, AlUla Prince Abdul Majeed Bin Abdulaziz International, and NEOM Bay Airport. The cross-border 90-min DXB to RUH hop brings in global fly-in crews. Helicopters come via Saudi Aviation Services, MENA Aviation, Falcon Aviation from Abu Dhabi, and the NEOM-focused Sabre Aviation. They serve aerial unit, talent transfers, and remote site access. The driver pool draws on large Pakistani and Filipino expat groups. They speak Urdu, Filipino, Hindi, Bengali, Tagalog, and Indonesian. They also speak Arabic MSA plus Najdi, Hejazi, and Eastern dialects, and English. Saudi Aramco built the oil-sector road backbone. So the highways stay in good shape across major routes. The 12-hour E11 highway from DXB to RUH handles the cross-border gear surge.
We have done global transport on big titles. They include Kandahar (Gerard Butler, 2023, AlUla and NEOM, $43M, dir. Ric Roman Waugh, with 200+ car convoys). They also include Desert Warrior (Anthony Mackie, 2024, AlUla, dir. Rupert Wyatt), Cherry (Apple TV+, AlUla), Hellraiser plates (AlUla, 2022), and Born a King (2019). On compliance we cover Ministry of Transport licensing. We cover Saudi Standards Metrology and Quality Org (SASO) car checks. We handle Ministry of Human Resources work permits and Iqama residency for expat drivers. We do GOSI payroll sign-ups, 15% VAT, and ZATCA Saudi Customs ATA carnet for global picture cars. Fleet cover runs through Tawuniya, Bupa Arabia, Walaa Insurance, and AXA Cooperative. The schedule shifts driver shifts in set ways. Prayer-time pauses fall five times a day. Friday runs about 12:00 to 13:30. In Ramadan the iftar-to-suhoor 9pm to 2am window moves shoots late. From June to September the 45-50°C heat needs an AC and tinted-window fleet. AlUla desert nights drop to 5-10°C in winter. Spring sandstorm (haboob) rules add reschedule clauses. The SAR is pegged 3.75 to 1 to the USD. Saudization Nitaqat quotas matter too. Saudi-national driver hires lift the rebate by 5% on the Cultural Development Fund's 40% cash rebates. There is no local Saudi transport union. Global Teamsters Local 399 crews work through Dubai EPS bureaus.
