Our Saudi set runners and PAs move daily across many sites. These include NEOM Bajdah Studios (9,000 m² largest in MENA, four sound stages), MBC Studios Riyadh and Jeddah, Telfaz11 Studios (Sattar 2022 Saudi box-office record dir. Ali Kalthami), and Manga Productions Riyadh (Saudi-Japan Toei Animation JV). They also work field shoots at AlUla / Hegra UNESCO 2008 (Kandahar 2023 Gerard Butler $43M dir. Ric Roman Waugh, Desert Warrior 2024 Anthony Mackie dir. Rupert Wyatt, Cherry Apple TV+, Hellraiser plates 2022). More sites include Diriyah JAX District, Jeddah Al-Balad, Edge of the World (Jebel Fihrayn, 1hr from Riyadh), Empty Quarter / Rub' al Khali, Red Sea Farasan Islands, and NEOM Sindalah. Radio calls run in many tongues. These cover Arabic MSA + Najdi (Riyadh) / Hejazi (Jeddah) / Eastern dialects, English, Urdu (large Pakistani expat pool — drivers, grips), Filipino, Hindi, Bengali, Tagalog, and Indonesian. Heat-aware turnaround is a must. June-September brings extreme 45-50°C days. We make hydration runs each 30 min. We keep AC trailers running. We stock electrolyte drinks (Pocari Sweat, Hydralyte). We set up shade tents. AlUla has cool desert nights in winter at 5-10°C, so we make warm-clothing runs. Compliance has many parts. These are Ministry of Human Resources work permits (Iqama residency for stays over 90 days), GOSI payroll sign-ups, and 15% VAT. They also cover Saudization Nitaqat quotas (Saudi-national runner hires drive a 5% rebate uplift on the Cultural Development Fund's 40% cash rebates, base 35% + 5%). More parts are Tawuniya / Bupa Arabia / Walaa Insurance medical cover and Saudi Civil Defense permits. Those permits are needed on stunt / pyro days for crowd-control runner work. We also do SFDA halal craft catering pickups. Prayer-time pauses come five times daily (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha). Friday adds a ~12:00-13:30 pause. These shape run timing.
