On Location

VFX compositing across Riyadh, Jeddah, and NEOM — Foundry Nuke pipelines at Pixomondo (Star Trek Discovery / Mandalorian alumni), Manga Productions, Beyond Studios, NEOM XR Lab LED Volume ICVFX, with DNEG and Image Nation Abu Dhabi cross-border partnerships.

We staff compositing artists and CG supervisors. They work on Foundry Nuke, the standard at Pixomondo Riyadh, Manga Productions, Beyond Studios Riyadh, and Spider Eye Studios for feature and episodic work. They also use Adobe After Effects for motion-graphics-led work and Telfaz11 short-form. Blackmagic Fusion suits DaVinci Resolve users at Pixomondo. Autodesk Flame drives high-end finishing at MBC. Our pipelines handle ARRIRAW from the Alexa 35 and Alexa Mini LF, the workhorse cameras for AlUla and NEOM features. They also take RED R3D, Sony Venice X-OCN, Blackmagic 12K BRAW, and Canon Cinema RAW Light at 4K-8K. We work in ACES color space with linear EXR multi-channel intermediate files. Standard comp work for Saudi shoots covers a lot. We do greenscreen pulls on Riyadh studio interiors set against AlUla canyon plates. We build NEOM Line and Trojena futurism set extensions. We handle Diriyah At-Turaif period rebuilds, which digital-remove modern bits while we keep the heritage stone. We composite Empty Quarter dune sims under live-action cars. We make Mecca and Medina respectful CGI standins for off-limits holy sites. We remove wires and rigs on AlUla stunt shots. We also build Riyadh Season concert and Saudi Pro League broadcast graphics.

Saudi Arabia's VFX scene is anchored by Pixomondo Riyadh. It is the country's flagship VFX-with-LED-Volume facility, staffed with Star Trek Discovery and The Mandalorian alumni. Other hubs include NEOM XR Lab, which runs Unreal Engine 5 real-time virtual production for ICVFX in-camera VFX. Manga Productions Riyadh is a Saudi-Japan anime JV with Toei Animation Japan. Beyond Studios Riyadh and Spider Eye Studios round out the field. Global features have wrapped at AlUla and NEOM. These include Kandahar (2023, Gerard Butler), Desert Warrior (2024, Anthony Mackie), Cherry (Apple TV+, partial AlUla), and Hellraiser 2022 plates. Most split VFX between Saudi front-line plate prep and overseas finishing. That finishing runs at DNEG (UK/India), Image Nation Abu Dhabi, Mr.X Dubai, BlackMisfits Dubai, and the Buf Cairo branch. Domestic features finish fully in country. These cover Telfaz11's Sattar 2022 and Shahad Ameen's Scales. We deliver to theatrical DCP for AMC Saudi Arabia, VOX Cinemas, Muvi Cinemas, Empire Cinemas, and Red Sea International Film Festival. We deliver broadcast AS-11 MXF for MBC and Saudi Broadcasting Corporation. We also deliver streaming IMF wraps for Shahid VIP, Netflix MENA, Apple TV+ Arabic, Amazon Prime Video Arabia, and Disney+ MENA. We use SAR billing, 15% VAT, and a Sunday-Thursday workweek.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What compositing software do you use?

We mainly use Nuke for high-end film and TV work. We use After Effects for motion-graphics-heavy projects. Our team also knows Fusion and Flame well. We pick the best tool for each project. We can fit your exact pipeline needs.

Can you match the look of existing footage?

Yes. Color matching and seamless blending are core to our work. We study the original footage with care. We check grain, color, lighting, and lens traits. This makes sure all composited parts blend with the source.

How do you handle complex green screen shots?

We use advanced keying methods. These include multi-channel keying, edge work, and spill suppression. Some shots are tough, with motion blur, fine hair, or see-through parts. For those, we mix auto tools with careful hand work. This gets us clean results.

What resolution and format can you work with?

We work with all pro formats from HD through 8K and beyond. Our pipeline handles RAW camera formats, high bit-depth files, and HDR work. We deliver in any format your project needs. That spans DPX sequences to ProRes masters.

Productions in Saudi Arabia that need this often pair it with CGI & 3D Animation Services, Rotoscoping & Cleanup Services, and Matte Painting & Environments for full coverage. Most projects also draw on AR Production and Archival & Preservation Services.
