Medical Services
Pro on-set medical care keeps your Saudi crew safe and within the \t\t\t\t\t\trules.
Saudi Arabia poses real health and safety risks for film shoots. Desert heat tops 50°C and the air stays dry all year. Shoots span vast deserts, the Red Sea coast, Asir highlands, and modern cities. Saudi Arabia's MOH (Ministry of Health) and its GOSI (General Organization for Social Insurance) workplace coverage set clear rules for on-set medical care. Each production must meet them. Our medical pros know these local rules. We keep your crew safe in Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, NEOM, or any remote site.
We connect you with skilled medical pros for film work in Saudi Arabia. Our network has on-set medics, paramedics, and safety advisors. They know both Saudi health rules and how shoots run. We bring the right medical support to every job. That spans the remote Empty Quarter desert, AlUla sites, and big studio shoots.

Why Us
Why Choose Our Medical Services
01.
Local Health System Knowledge
Our medics know Saudi Arabia's MOH (Ministry of Health) system. They know GOSI (General Organization for Social Insurance) workplace coverage too. We make sure your shoot meets all local health and safety duties. The team handles Saudi medical rules with ease.
02.
Remote Location Medical Support
Our teams bring full medical skills to each site. That covers the remote Empty Quarter desert and AlUla sites. We plan for long response times. We carry gear made for Saudi terrain.
03.
Climate-Specific Health Risks
Our medics are ready for harsh heat. Heat exhaustion and heatstroke peak from April to October. Sandstorms hit desert sites and UV stays high all year. Medical setup is sparse in remote desert zones. Each risk plan covers Saudi Arabia's site-level challenges.
04.
Regulatory Compliance
We meet Saudi Arabian work health rules in full. We also meet GCAM (General Commission for Audiovisual Media) health needs for shoots. We keep clear records. They match Saudi rules and global shoot insurance standards.
On Location
Saudi unit medics — Red Crescent + KFSH + Aramco Hospital + Tawuniya, heat-illness protocols
Our Saudi unit medical teams work across the kingdom's top-tier care chain. KFSH (King Faisal Specialist Hospital) Riyadh and Jeddah lead the list. Aramco Hospital Dhahran sets the oil sector standard. KAUST medical serves the NEOM area. The Saudi Red Crescent Society handles emergency response with ambulances on standby. Insurance runs through Tawuniya, Bupa Arabia, Walaa Insurance, and AXA Cooperative. This covers the production and crew medevac. Medevac uses Saudia private charter to Riyadh, Jeddah, or cross-border Dubai. That Dubai run is a 90-min flight via DXB. It handles complex trauma exits from remote desert units. Those units span AlUla, the Empty Quarter / Rub' al Khali, Edge of the World, Red Sea Farasan Islands, Asir highlands, and the NEOM coastline. Recent global shoots ran 24/7 unit medic plans. These include Kandahar 2023 with Gerard Butler in AlUla and NEOM, a $43M film dir. Ric Roman Waugh. Desert Warrior 2024 starred Anthony Mackie in AlUla, dir. Rupert Wyatt. Others were Cherry for Apple TV+, Hellraiser plates 2022, and Born a King 2019. Each kept an ALS (advanced life support) paramedic on standby for stunt and crowd days.
Heat-illness plans are required June to September in 45-50°C extremes. We set hydration stations each 50m on set. We stock electrolyte drinks (Pocari Sweat, Hydralyte). AC trailers and shade tents are standard. Work-rest cycles follow Ministry of Human Resources safety rules. AlUla has cool desert nights of 5-10°C in winter. That calls for hypothermia care. Saudi Civil Defense permits for stunts, SFX, and pyro need a certified medic on set. Faith rules matter too. Mecca and Medina are off-limits, with no non-Muslim medics within the Haram. Ramadan runs iftar to suhoor, 9pm to 2am. That demands fasting-aware medical tracking, since fasting crew risk dehydration. Compliance has several parts. GOSI (General Organization for Social Insurance) sign-ups are required and give workers comp plus injury cover. Medics need Saudi Council of Health Specialties (SCFHS) licensing. The Saudi FDA (SFDA) covers medical devices and drugs on set. Ministry of Human Resources work permits cover expat medical staff. Chart records are kept in Arabic and English. Saudization Nitaqat quotas apply too. Saudi-national hires drive a 5% rebates uplift on the Cultural Development Fund's 40% cash rebates. There is no home Saudi unit medic union. Global IATSE and EMS planning runs via Dubai EPS bureaus.

FAQ
Medical Coverage Expertise
What are the health requirements for filming in Saudi Arabia?
Saudi Arabian work health rules set clear needs for on-set medical cover. GCAM (General Commission for Audiovisual Media) health needs apply too. Shoots with stunts, special effects, big crews, and remote sites need skilled medical staff. We make sure your shoot meets all Saudi rules. We help you pick the right level of cover.
Are vaccinations required for crew traveling to Saudi Arabia?
A Meningococcal shot is needed for Hajj and Umrah periods. Heat-illness prevention steps are required for all desert shoots. We give health briefings before the shoot. They cover all advised steps for your sites.
How do emergency services work in Saudi Arabia?
Across Saudi Arabia, dial 997 for an ambulance and 998 for civil defense. We set up emergency steps before the shoot starts. These cover hospital routes, ambulance contacts, and exit plans for each site. For remote sites, we add more medical supplies. This covers the longer wait for help.
What insurance is needed for medical coverage in Saudi Arabia?
Most shoots need Saudi GOSI workplace insurance. They also need global shoot medical cover. That cover must include heat-illness care and desert exit plans. We help you learn the exact needs. We make sure your cover records meet Saudi rules and your insurer's needs.
Can you cover remote locations?
Yes. We give medical cover for remote and tough sites across Saudi Arabia. That includes the remote Empty Quarter desert and AlUla sites. We plan for long response times. We bring the right gear for isolated shoots.
What about stunt coverage?
For stunt work, we add more medical cover. We bring extra staff and gear as needed. Our medics meet with stunt leads. They learn the exact risks and prep to match.
