SCENE 01 / GRIP EQUIPMENT
Grip Equipment in Saudi Arabia
Professional grip equipment for your Saudi production.
Grip kit is the hardware used to hold and aim cameras and lights on set. It supports gear and keeps it in place. C-stands, flags, nets, silks, clamps, and rigging hardware help grip teams shape light. They also let crews place each camera with care in any setting.
We source full grip kit packages from local suppliers. Each package is scaled to your production's size and needs. Our team checks that all rigging, mounting, and light-control hardware works when it arrives. This gives your grip team the tools to run each setup fast.

On Location
Matthews and Mole-Richardson grip packages sourced from MBC Studios and cross-border via Filmquip Dubai, with desert-rated rigging for AlUla and Empty Quarter sets.
We build Saudi grip packages around MBC Studios' Riyadh and Jeddah inventories. These hold Matthews C-stands and combo stands, Mole-Richardson distribution, Kupo grip arms, and American Grip flag and net packages. They also cover full 4×4 through 20×20 frame kits with silks, solids, and Griffolyn. We backfill special items across the E11 highway corridor from Filmquip Dubai or Picture Works Dubai when the build outgrows Saudi-home stock. That backfill spans Modern Studio Equipment dance floors, MovieTech sliders, Mantis cranes, Ronford-Baker heads, OConnor 2575 and Sachtler Cine 30 fluid heads. NEOM Bajdah Studios runs its own grip pool sized to a 9,000 m² stage footprint. We set up cross-truck transfers when shoots move between Bajdah, AlUla, and Riyadh sound stages in one schedule. Larger global shoots blend MBC's grip backbone with Bickers Action UK fly-ins. Those fly-ins bring stunt-grade speed rail and crash barriers for Kandahar's NEOM build and Desert Warrior's AlUla stunt rigs.
Saudi grip planning starts with the climate. Empty Quarter and AlUla shoots need sand-rated dollies. We use Chapman Hybrid IV and Fisher 11s sealed against fine quartz dust. We also bring light modular truss for desert tracking shots. For night exterior wadis, we rig balloon lights from Airstar units flown in through Emirates SkyCargo. Ground stands there would throw stray shadows on the sandstone. Our team files SEC (Saudi Electricity Company) tie-in permits when grip rigs need stage-floor power feeds inside MBC's Riyadh complex. We plan ATA carnet manifests through Saudi Customs (ZATCA) at RUH, JED, or AlUla International (ULH). This lets imported Mole-Richardson distribution boards and Matthews backstage hardware clear as short-term imports, free of the 5-15% SASO-rated duty. Saudization quotas favour local key grips and grip BBs. Hiring them earns shoots the 5% rebates uplift on top of the 40% headline cash incentive run through the Saudi Film Commission.
