Saudi creative direction draws on a uniquely deep visual library. Global shoots have only just gained access to it. Kandahar (Gerard Butler, 2023) staged its chase set-pieces across AlUla's sandstone canyons and NEOM's coastal flats. Desert Warrior (Anthony Mackie, 2024) built large ancient-Arabia scenes at AlUla. This ran under Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) and Film AlUla planning. Cherry (Apple TV+) used some AlUla coverage. Local voices shape the field too.
