Power setup is the key Saudi detail. The domestic and NEOM grid runs 220V/60Hz on Acwa Power independent supply. That differs from the 50Hz standard most global ballasts ship with. So we source 60Hz-compatible ballasts through MBC's electrics. Or we specify ARRI EB MAX 18K auto-switching units on each booking. Aggreko Saudi, Cummins, and Caterpillar dealer networks cover portable power pack needs. SEC (Saudi Electricity Company) tie-in permits handle building feed-ins.

Many shoots have leaned on hybrid Saudi-Dubai lighting stacks. These include Kandahar at NEOM, Desert Warrior across AlUla, Cherry's Apple TV+ unit, the Telfaz11 commercial pipeline, and the Wadjda-Sattar-Born a King narrative tradition. The scale of AlUla canyon and Empty Quarter exteriors mostly outstrips MBC's domestic stock in a single shoot week. So we cross-source through Filmquip Dubai, Picture Works Dubai, and Sigma Cine Dubai. Gear moves via the 12-hour E11 highway corridor or Emirates SkyCargo flights from DXB to RUH. Heat planning anchors each package. The 45-50°C June-September highs sap LED phosphor output and shorten HMI envelope life. So we add shade tents over standby fixtures and AC-trailer prep rotations.
